So I have been doing some research and I discovered you can burn up to 500 calories an hour by dancing, which is something I love to do. My next move in this exercise regime was to jump on iTunes and I spent a small fortune on getting some new dance tracks to put on my iPod. Some of my reccomendations include:
- Dance movie soundtracks: Because obvisiously the actors dance to it, so you can too. I bought the soundtracks to Step Up 1,2 and 3
- I work at a night club so I tried remembering what tracks they used (and contacted my favourite DJ for some of his tracks) I bought things like Chris Brown, Flo Rida, Willow, etc.
- Any old school tunes that you loved dancing to in your early teens, like Missy Elliot and Ciara
The funnest thing is you can boogy doing almost anything, I dance my way around the kitchen whilst cooking, cleaning my room, brushing my teeth, or whenever I feel like an exercise booster. For a busy person like myself this is quite handy. I also suggest buying some noise blocking headphones, I did because my mother was sick of being able to hear my "doof doof music" while she is trying to do whatever she does.
But remember, keep hydrated and for those of you with sports injuries (like myself) strap up if you plan on going a bit nuts otherwise you're going to be in a lot of pain (also like myself earlier today).
